Police Commends Journalists In Bauchi On professionalism

The Nigeria Police Force Bauchi State command has commended journalists in the State for exhibiting high sense of discipline and professionalism while conducting their primary responsibilities.

The remark was made by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Bauchi State Command, SP Nafiu Habib when he paid a visit to the NUJ State Council where he appreciated the performance of journalists in the State and attributed the maintenance of peace and stability in the State to the partnership between the security agencies and Journalists especially in their professional write up and sensitizing the public on security issues.

He said Journalists and the State command of the NPF are partners in progress, hence his decision to pay such visit to the NUJ to appreciate their efforts and to seek for more collaboration with the State Council of NUJ to continue promoting peace and unity among citizens in the State.

SP Habib promised to continue partnering with NUJ in trying to fight proliferation of fake news in the society, assuring that the door of the command is always open for necessary advice and professional guidance from NUJ.

He then presented letter of Condolence to the NUJ Chairman over the demise of some journalists in Gombe State Council after ghastly motor accident.

Responding the State Council Chairman of the NUJ, Comrade Umar Sa’idu thanked the PPRO for the visit and assured him that the Council will support him to execute his primary responsibilities deligently.

He commended the Nigeria Police Force Bauchi State Command and other security agencies for putting heads together to ensure sustainable peace in the State and urged them to maintain the tempo.

NUJ Chairman noted with appreciation the performance of his members towards sustaining peaceful atmosphere in the State and urged them to always observe ethics of the profession while performing their duties.

He appreciated the condolence message on the death of some journalists in Gombe State Council of the NUJ.
