Gov Fintiri Receives Rousing Reception in Shellegn, Commissions Several Projects

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has assured residents of Shelleng Local Government Area that his administration will execute additional developmental projects, including roads, electricity, and water supply, before the end of his tenure.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has assured residents of Shelleng Local Government Area that his administration will execute additional developmental projects, including roads, electricity, and water supply, before the end of his tenure.

The governor gave the assurance on Friday during a visit to the area, where he was accompanied by top government officials, leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other key stakeholders. He received a rousing welcome from residents who thronged the Shelleng Main Eid Ground to receive him.

Addressing thousands of supporters at the venue, Governor Fintiri said he had carefully listened to the concerns of the people and pledged that their challenges would be addressed within the shortest possible time.

He disclosed that the planned projects include the asphalting of the major road from Kiri to Shelleng, provision of potable water, and improvement of electricity supply, among other interventions aimed at enhancing the living standards of the people.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman of Shelleng Local Government, Abubakar Musa Abba, described the governor as a God-fearing leader committed to the welfare of the masses.

Similarly, the Member representing Shelleng Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Bulus Kantomon, alongside the Commissioner for Mineral Resources, Haruna Ibrahim, noted that Shelleng, described as home to the governor, has witnessed unprecedented dividends of democracy under his administration.

During the visit, Governor Fintiri commissioned several projects executed by the council chairman, including a police outpost, Kem Market, a town hall, and a Primary Health Care facility.

The governor also paid homage to the Amna of Shelleng, Dr. Abdullahi Isa Dasong, at his palace, in recognition of the role of the traditional institution in promoting peace and development in the area.
