Vulnerable residents in Yola on Thursday benefited from the distribution of food items by Hon. Dahiru Hammandikko (Dan Kade Adamawa), Executive Director of Agricultural Services at the Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority.
The outreach, which took place in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State, was organised by the Tinubu Support Group in collaboration with the Northern Region Support Group. Food items distributed included bags of rice, cartons of spaghetti, Indomie noodles, and Maggi seasoning.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Hammandikko said the gesture was aimed at supporting the less privileged and easing their hardship, particularly in challenging economic times.
He called on other political appointees of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to emulate the initiative by extending similar support to vulnerable groups within their respective local government areas and states.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful, while organisers noted that the initiative aligns with efforts to promote social responsibility and community support.
