The Marafa Adamawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Mijinyawa, has expressed profound appreciation to the people and leaders who supported him during his turbaning ceremony held last Saturday in Yola.

In a statement made available to Sahel Reporters, Alhaji Mijinyawa specifically thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who was ably represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Awwal Tukur.

He also expressed gratitude to the Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa, for personally performing the turbaning ceremony, describing it as a great honour.

The Marafa Adamawa further appreciated the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, as well as former Governors Boni Haruna and Bindow Umaru Jibirilla, among other distinguished personalities and everyone bwho graced the occasion.

Alhaji Mijinyawa noted that the overwhelming show of support and goodwill demonstrated during the ceremony would continue to inspire his commitment to peace, unity, and development in Adamawa State.
