The Provost of the Taraba State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Jalingo, Dorcas Dugule, has reiterated the institution’s commitment to producing disciplined and highly qualified health professionals.

Dorcas Dugule made this known in an interview with our correspondent in Jalingo, where she emphasized that discipline remains a cornerstone of the college’s policies and operations.

She stressed that students must strictly adhere to the rules and regulations guiding the institution to achieve academic excellence and professional competence.

According to the Provost, students have been repeatedly cautioned to shun examination malpractice, gangsterism, and other social vices capable of undermining their future careers and the reputation of the college.

She noted that such negative behaviours are incompatible with the ethics of the nursing and midwifery professions.

Dorcas Dugule further reminded students that they are being trained to assume critical responsibilities in the health sector, adding that in the near future, they will be at the forefront of managing health facilities and delivering essential healthcare services across Taraba State and beyond.

She also commended the Taraba State Governor for prioritising the development of the College of Nursing and Midwifery, describing the administration’s support as instrumental in improving infrastructure and elevating the overall status of the institution.

The Provost assured that the college would continue to uphold high academic and moral standards in line with global best practices in health training.
