To maintain this trajectory, Adamawa needs a successor who will sustain, consolidate, and expand upon these successes.
The governorship seat is up for grabs, and the political landscape is already buzzing with contenders. However, amid the multitude of aspirants, one name stands out—Dr. Ishaya Inuwa Durkwa, the Executive Director of the International Organization for Peacebuilding and Social Justice.

Coming from Wuyaku Village in Garkida District, Gombi LGA of Adamawa State, he has dedicated his life to citizens’ welfare, governmental accountability, and security. His philanthropic work and passion for youth empowerment have left a lasting impact on many lives—including mine.
With a strong academic foundation, Dr. Durkwa holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, dual Master of Arts degrees in Organizational Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Global Development (in view).
