Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on Sunday hosted the 2025 edition of the annual Unity and Peace Dinner at the Government House, Yola, bringing together political leaders, religious figures, labour representatives, and other dignitaries to celebrate harmony across the state.

Speaking at the event, Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of the Organising Committee, Barrister Auwal Tukur, described the dinner as the third in the series, noting that it has become a tradition aimed at strengthening unity in diversity.

Tukur said the gathering, coming at the tail end of the year, offers an opportunity for reflection and collective celebration of achievements recorded under the Fintiri administration.

He commended the governor’s leadership style, saying it has significantly advanced the state’s standing among its peers nationwide.

He highlighted progress made across sectors in 2025, describing the year as one of remarkable transformation for the state.

The dinner featured musical performances, cultural displays, and artistic showcases from across Adamawa State and beyond, drawing enthusiastic applause from guests.

The event reached its peak with the symbolic cutting of the Peace and Unity cake by Governor Fintiri, joined by First Lady Hajiya Lami Fintiri, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, and several distinguished personalities.

The Unity and Peace Dinner has become an annual platform for promoting social cohesion, mutual respect, and collective purpose among people of the state.
