14th Matric: FUW Embarks On Construction Of Two New Hostels In Teaching Hospital, Matriculates 3,118 Students

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Wukari, Professor Jude Sammani Rabo, has assured new matriculants and all Students of the institution that the University Management will continue to create an enabling learning environment for them to excel in their academic endeavours and equally have a memorable learning experience.

He disclosed this during the 5th Matriculation ceremony of the University under his Leadership as Vice Chancellor, held in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State. 

Prof. Rabo announced that the University is building two new Hostels in the Teaching Hospital to alleviate the accommodation problems being faced by students, adding that more will be built as funds continue to flow in.

He revealed that the management of the institution has taken measures to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the students, both within and outside the Campus. 

Prof. Jude Sammani Rabo also explained that the fencing of the University has been completed and CCTV cameras have been installed at strategic locations to detect miscreants, while additional patrol vehicles were provided.

“We have completed the fencing of our University and provided CCTV cameras in strategic locations to detect miscreants who may want to breach our security.

“We have also in recent times, engaged more security personnel and provided additional patrol vehicles to enhance surveillance and promote the safety of the University Community,” he stated.

Prof. Jude Sammani Rabo, however, congratulated the new matriculants and urged Students to complement the efforts of the Management by taking care of their personal security, whether on or off campus.

He further stressed that security is everyone’s business, hence the need for all hands to be on deck.

A total of 3,118 students were matriculated for the 2024/2025 academic session.
