The Omeudo Ndi Igbo of Adamawa, Dr Stephen Maduwa on Wednesday says the victory of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Supreme Court has increased trust in democratic process.
Dr Maduwa congratulated his close ally, the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Umaru Fintiri on his victory at the Apex Court.
Maduwa in a statement noted with profound happiness, the judgement of the Supreme Court of Nigeria delivered on Wednesday 31st January 2024, bringing to an end, the gubernatorial election of 2023.
The PDP stalwart in Adamawa joined various Stakeholders of the State to congratulating Governor Fintiri, his deputy, Prof Kaletapwa George Farauta on their victory at the polls.
“Indeed, this judgment by the Apex Court is a victory for Adamawa electorates who overwhelmingly reelected the Governor in 2023. Congratulations Adamawa people. Congratulations PDP, ” he said.
Dr Maduwa expressed the conviction that Governor Umaru Fintiri will no doubt continue to fix the state to the pedestal of development through people’s oriented policies and projects.
He therefore called on the people of Adamawa State irrespective of political differences to rally round Governor Fintiri to enable him deliver good governance for the state.
