The 2023 general elections is fast approaching beginning with the presidential and national assembly elections on the 25th of February 2023.
The Governorship and state House of assembly elections would follow in two weeks time i.e the 11th of March 2023.
Alkaleri local Government is the Home local Government area of the incumbent Governor Bala Mohammed who is seeking reelection.
He was a Senator representing Bauchi South senatorial District and later in 2010 appointed the minister of the federal capital territory Fct Abuja by former president Goodluck Jonathan where he served for six years.
During his reign as a Senator, it is in record that Sen Bala A Mohammed supported quite number of people in Bauchi state and beyond and we in Alkaleri local Government were the major beneficiaries.
To cap it all Bala Mohammed attracted a lot of developmental projects to his home local Government Alkaleri as he rehabilitated the Yelwan Duguri to Duguri road project which synonymous to death trap and lots more.
After winning the 2019 Governorship election in Bauchi state, Governor Bala Mohammed was confronted with many developmental challenges across the state and it is in record that in all the twenty local Government areas of Bauchi, there exist many projects of the Bala Mohammed led administration in the last three years.
In Alkaleri local Government area, we will of course remain grateful to almighty Allah for given us Bala Mohammed as our son, “a son more than a thousand sons”, because of his outstanding performance.
During the period under review, Governor Bala Mohammed awarded and completed the over 58 kilometer Burga to Yelwan Duguri road project linking the two local Government areas of Alkaleri and Tafawa Balewa.
The Governor has also constructed a brand new model primary school in Yelwan Duguri, Health facilities and the total rehabilitation of the palace of the District Head of Yelwan Duguri and other District and village Head palaces.
Among his various interventions in the health sector, General Hospital Alkaleri which was hitherto in shambles was among the first Hospital to be rehabilitated and it now provide effective health care services to the people.
Other projects include the rehabilitation of the Yelwan Duguri to Duguri road project, the construction of the Alkaleri bye pass road project and the recently awarded Tudun Gwaram Road project all in a bid to address the poor road network facing the people.
Today Alkaleri local Government area can boast of Governor Bala Mohammed as their son because he hasn’t failed since his projects and impacts are being felt from across the state in terms of projects and policies as well as deepening inclusion and stakeholding.
One other important area Worthy of mention is the governor’s continues efforts in the areas of peace and security.
Kidnaping and banditry was the other of the day in some nooks and crannies of Alkaleri local Government area, but with the governor’s commitment in collaboration with security agents in Bauchi state, they have been neutralized with people returning to their ancestral homes.
The Governor defied all odds to visit the affected communities and directed security agents and local vigilantes to stand firm, and today we are happy peace and stability have returned to these communities.
If not your own who will care to address these challenges and invest heavily in the growth and development of the areas.
As such I urged the people of Alkaleri local Government area to see reasons why we should support the reelection bid of Governor Bala Mohammed for continues development.
He has done it and will do more for our good people.
