The Bwatiye Youth Development Association Worldwide, has clarified that its members are not part of the planned nationwide protest slated to hold from 1st to 8th August 2024.


A statement made available to Newsmen on Tuesday, the National President of the Bwatiye Youth Wing, Dr.Pwano Jauro urged his members to stay away from the protest.

“We are compelled to address you this afternoon on this impending Nationwide planned protest holding from 1st to 8th July 2024 due to the negative impact, it may cause to National security.

“The planned protest, though is constitutional as contained in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, need to be handled with utmost sensitivity because it signals a National security threat.

“As a socio-cultural movement that is Nationally and globally known in promoting peace and projecting cultural norms and values particularly in a democratic setting like Nigeria, it is obvious to state here that hardship and challenges peculiar to social living are not only limited to our dear county but globally,” says the statement.

Pwano Jauro added that citizens must first appreciate the federal government’s drive to stabilizing the nation’s economy and protecting lives and property, stressing that there are many implemented welfare programmes and policies by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration, “but the exigencies at hand is to call for caution in the planned protest particularly the youths in Adamawa state.”


‘The Bwatiye Youth Wing globally is not going to participate in the planned protest because the security of lives and property is paramount to it’s agenda,” the statement stressed.

The Statement, therefore calls on the teaming youths particularly the Bwatiye race worldwide to boycott the planned protest.

“We believe in the unity and sovereignty of our dear nation.

“We are not going to allow hoodlums to break the hard earned unity and progress of our nation.

“Security Agencies should sit up to their responsibilities by Protecting citizens in the state.

“We finally commend Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his magnanimity in putting in measures aimed at protecting the feat achieved by this administration in the state.


“The Bwatiye Youth Wing equally expressed appreciation to the two Royal Fathers of Hama Bachama and Hama Batta for the enlightenment geared towards maintaining peace and harmony in their respective Chiefdoms,” the statement added.
