The Command’s VPRO, Suleiman Aliyu, disclosed this in a statement released to newsmen in Jalingo.

The victims were rescued when the Special Tactical Squad of the VGN invaded the kidnappers’ camps at Kachalla mountain in the Lau LGA of the state following a tip-off.

Alhaji Dankawu was kidnapped at Garin Dogo, Haruna Shagari at Yolde Kindang, and Alhaji Isa at Lushi village. One of the victims, Haruna Shagari, has been reunited with his family.

During the operation, the Command arrested two of the suspected kidnappers, Sale Manu and Manu Siddiki, who confessed to the crime without torture.

In a video clip, Sale Manu specifically stated that they own five (5) AK47 rifles for operations and listed other gang members who are currently on the run.

The VGN Commander, Munir Bello Abubakar, who is the North-east VGN’s Zonal Deputy Commander of Administration, revealed that they had destroyed the kidnappers’ camps at Kachalla mountain in the Lau LGA of the State on May 12th, 2024.
