The University of Abuja officially handed over three major projects to their end users today: the College of Health Sciences Building, the External Works and Landscaping of the Building, and a 500-capacity Lecture Theatre for the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi, highlighted the importance of the projects in improving the working and learning environment for staff and students.
“These projects will help address the challenges faced by the faculty,” she stated, while reaffirming the University’s commitment to supporting the college.
Professor Maikudi further urged the provost of the college, Professor Ibekwe Titus Sunday, and his team to ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of the facilities.
Dignitaries at the event included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Phillip Afaha; Acting Registrar, Mrs Islamiyat Abdulrahim; University Librarian, Professor Ebele Anyaoku; and the Bursar, Madam Shiva Rae Kondoun.
The ceremony was also attended by deans, directors of centers, and heads of departments.
