The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended two suspects and recovered a stolen vehicle as part of an ongoing investigation into car theft.

The suspects, Yusuf Mohammed (25) and Faisal Mahmud (30), were arrested following a detailed investigation that began on December 23, 2024.

In a statement issued by the Command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the arrests were made after a complaint was lodged by Mr. Aliyu Umar of Wuro Hausa, Yola South Local Government Area. Umar reported that his Toyota RAV4 with registration number RSH 548 BB was stolen.

“Following the complaint, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), directed detectives, led by DPO Yola, SP Habib Muhammed Musa, to investigate the matter. Their efforts led to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of the stolen vehicle,” the statement read.

The Command reassured the public of its commitment to upholding justice and called on residents to provide timely and accurate information to assist the police in tackling crime.

“The suspects will be diligently prosecuted upon the completion of the investigation,” the statement concluded.

This development underscores the Command’s resolve to combat crime and ensure the safety and security of Adamawa residents.
