The interim Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Moyoyo, who is also the Deputy Director of News and Current Affairs in the TSBS, explained that the meeting aimed to seek advice from stakeholders to conduct a free, fair, and credible election to usher in a new Exco for the next four years.

He also mentioned that the meeting aimed to reconcile factions within the association.

According to him, all the aggrieved parties were at the meeting and offered their inputs on how to achieve the set objectives of conducting the election within two (2) months as stipulated to the committee.

“As you can see, all our members are here, the office could not even contain us even press singers came because they thought the election was today, therefore, we thank God for succeeding in uniting them and you heard them laughing and clapping, it was because of the solution solving ideas that people were providing,” Moyoyo expressed joy.

Furthermore, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Moyoyo disclosed that the committee has constituted a seven-man contacts committee to inform patrons and friends of the association about the upcoming election and to seek financial support.

The contacts committee includes Kawuwa Mai Inji as Chairman, Ibrahim Saurara, Yayaji Mai Zana, Ya’u Ibrahim, Hajiya Maryam Abdullahi Kirim, Abubakar Aliyu Iware, and Ishaka Lasisi as Secretary.

Those to be contacted and be informed that the association has cemented its differences including the Chief of Mumuye, the Chief of Mutum Biyu, and the Kuru Kona among many others.

Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Moyoyo thanked the members for their support and reassured them of a level playing ground for all candidates.

He also appreciated Governor Agbu Kefas for supporting the state’s media houses, especially TSBS, and commended the efforts of the State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Zainab Usman Jalingo, and the General Manager of TSBS, Mr. David Nya.

“The governor had provided us with a new Transmitter through the effort of the State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Zainab Usman Jalingo. “We thank Dr. Agbu Kefas for appointing a young intelligent, and vibrant Barrister for us as a Commissioner,” said Moyoyo.

Additionally, the Chairman revealed that the station since the creation of the state has never operated for 18 hours until during the current administration of Governor Kefas and under the leadership of Comrade David Nya, which Moyoyo added “is a development worth commending”.
