Taraba: Allegations Of Selling An Oil Pipelines Involving LG Council Boss, 6 Others

An alarm was raised by concerned citizens of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, alleging that some oil pipelines have been vandalised and illegally sold by some individuals, including the current LG Council Chairman Hon. Isma’ila Zakari a.k.a Dangote.

The group, which spoke to journalists in Jalingo, the state capital, under the condition of anonymity, made available some photographs of the pipelines, including a short video clip.

They noted that the pipelines were linked up to Borno State and have been underground for many years.

They accused the council chairman, Hon. Sama’ila Zakari, of conniving with some unpatriotic persons and selling some of the pipelines.

The group called on the state government, under the leadership of Governor Agbu Kefas and the security operatives in the state to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.

The Key suspects of these allegations include Mr Abbas Aliyu, Hon. Ismaila Zakari – Chairman Ardo-Kola LGA of Taraba State, Mr. Kini Nomiri, Mr. Adamu Abdukadir, Garba Audu, Umar Usman One K, and Abdullahi Ya’u.

When contacted via a telephone conversation, the Executive Chairman of the Ardo-Kola Local Government Council, Hon. Sama’ila Zakari, denied his involvement, describing it as false allegations and politically motivated, aimed at tarnishing his image.

However, others who were also accused of conniving with the council chairman, in a telephone interview denied the allegation, saying that they lack knowledge about the matter.
