Table Tennis: Achagwa Revives Club, Provides Items For Players In Taraba

The Taraba State Chairman of the Table Tennis Club, Jalingo, Samuel Peter Achagwa, says the club has successfully revived and the game continues.

The chairman announced this development while speaking with our correspondent in jalingo, the state capital.

He mentioned that recently, he purchased Table Tennis boards and other items needed for the game, adding that it was aimed to boost the morale of players.

Samuel Peter opined that he has sponsored some players (Youth) to participate in events in Bauchi, and others for training in Abuja.

According to him, the gesture is yielding positive results as the players are making the state proud in the Table Tennis game.

He called on the government, wealthy individuals, and corporate organizations to support their efforts in advancing and developing sports.

The chairman emphasised the need for additional resources and sponsorship to sustain the revival of table tennis in the state.

Sharing his thoughts on the development, a former Badminton champion, Jinkam  Bulus Ifraimu, pledged his support for the growth of table tennis in the state.

He further promised to provide nets and balls to the table tennis club as part of his contribution to the growth of the game.
