In a heartwarming display of unity and pride, the Special Senior Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development, two-time African Badminton Champion Jinkam Bulus Ifraimu, and enthusiastic youths came out in large numbers to welcome their returning heroes from an international skating competition.
The athletes, who represented the state with distinction in Calabar, Cross River State, were greeted with resounding cheers and heartfelt appreciation for their outstanding performance on the global stage.
Speaking at the welcome event, Jinkam Bulus Ifraimu reaffirmed his commitment to youth development and the enhancement of sports infrastructure across the state.
He described the athletes’ achievement as a shining example of the immense potential embedded in the state’s young people.
He further emphasized that this milestone not only brings pride to the state but also serves as a solid stepping stone in preparation for the upcoming National Sports Festival scheduled to be held in Ogun State.
