The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajuddeen, has approved the appointment of former member of the house, Hon. Garba Chede, as the house liaison officer at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat in Abuja.
In a statement by the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Prof. Jake Dan-Azumi, it was announced that the appointee will be responsible for all communications between the House of Representatives and the APC National Secretariat.
The speaker expressed confidence in the newly appointed liaison officer and urged the APC National Secretariat to provide him with the necessary support to effectively carry out his duties.
Hon. Garba Chede, while fielding questions from the National Assembly correspondents, thanked the Speaker for the opportunity to serve in that capacity.
He also pledged to use his new position to promote a harmonious working relationship between the House and the APC National Secretariat for the success of the current administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Assembly as a whole.
Before his appointment, Hon. Garba Chede served as a member of the House of Representatives from Balli-Gassol Constituency in Taraba State during the Eighth and Ninth Assembly.
