Jamilu Bawa, an APC chieftain and Senior Personal Assistant to Senator David Jimkuta, said that Senator David Jimkuta, representing Southern Taraba in the Senate, has performed better than past senators from the district.
Bawa made the declaration to newsmen on Saturday while refuting accusations made by the president of Arewa Youth Assembly For Good Leadership, Abdul Danbature Garba, against Senator representing the good people of Taraba South.
He described the accusation as not only a misrepresentation of facts and reality but at the same time, ungodly and callous.
It will be recalled that Ambassador Abdul Garba accused Senator David Jimkuta of underperformance and bias in his empowerment drive.
“Senator David Jimkuta is not only a performing Senator but also a Unifier per excellence. His quest for unity of our people can not be overemphasized. He has so far led by example, and we are very confident that he will never derail.
“Senator David Jimkuta is a model of good leadership and a shining example of a beacon of unity and peace.
He has been providing support to all manner of people without discrimination. He is a pillar and tower of support and strength to our people.
“Accusations of this nature against the people’s Senator are very unfortunate and unfair considering his lofty achievements within 2 years in representation.
” We, the good people of Southern Taraba, are proud of him and will continue to identify with him despite what his traducers are propagating against him. We are solidly behind the people’s Senator and the people’s Senator is with our people 100 per cent,” Bawa added.
