Sen. Binos Yaroe, representing Adamawa South senatorial has distributed N6 million and farming input to no fewer than 300 farmers across nine LGA in his constituency.
The distribution was the first phase of the to beneficiaries drawn from nine Local Government Areas (LGA) in the zone which held in Mayo-Belwa LGA on Tuesday.
According to Senator Yaroe, the gesture is part of his consistency project approved by the federal government for the farmers in 93 wards cross nine LGA in the zone.
He said each beneficiary is to get N20,000, fertilizer and herbicides aim to boost their production.
Yaroe said that in the next two weeks, the second batch of the input would be distributed across the nine LGA.
He urged the beneficiaries to judicious usage of the input for bumper harvest.
Yahuza Yakamata, an official of Rockland Synergy Concepts of the contracting company said that the fertilizers are NPK 20-10-10 and NPK 20-15-15 as well as the herbicides.
Mrs Violet Vendict, a beneficiary from Jada LGA appreciated the gesture, and confirmed that she received N20,000, a bag of fertilizer and two herbicides.
According to her, the input had came at the right time to enable her boost production for both Rice and maize.
