Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri made this statement after attending Jumaat prayer at the Gibson Jalo cantonment, commemorating the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

Represented by the Head of Service, Pharmacist Isa Ardo, Governor Fintiri acknowledged the sacrifices made by the Nigerian Armed Forces in maintaining peace and unity.

He praised their efforts, which have enabled businesses and daily activities to thrive. The governor assured continued support for the armed forces to carry out their duties efficiently.

Chief Imam Captain Ali Algurawi Ismail emphasized the significance of the day, honoring fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for national unity.

In his sermon, he highlighted the rewards of security services, citing Islamic scriptures.

Flight Lieutenant Abdulkareem, Chief Imam of the Nigeria Air Force barracks in Yola, pledged continued prayers for fallen heroes and celebration of gallant soldiers fighting to restore peace and normalcy in the country.
