The People’s Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) has commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State on the inauguration of the newly-completed Jimeta Grade Interchange in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, christened the Adamawa Unity Bridge.
The Forum is noted with happiness the honour of having former President Olusegun Obasanjo to inaugurate “this significant infrastructure with specific features viz, an underground pass, an overpass, CCTV cameras for monitoring and security aside the roads connecting multiple streets to ease intra-state transport.
“The construction timeline started on August 30, 2020 and has been completed and officially commissioned on May 29, 2024. And on its Purpose and Impact, the Adamawa Unity Bridge aims to improve transportation and connectivity within Yola, as well as serve as a vital link for commuters and enhances the overall urban infrastructure.
“The Forum applauds the Governor’s infrastructure drive, and his commitment to further developing urban and semi-urban centres in the state to create a more aesthetically-pleasing environment and enhance the comfort and convenience of residents and investors.”
According to the statement by Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, Director-General, PDP Governors’ Forum “You always have our unfettered support. And congratulations once again, Your Excellency!
“We wish the Governor and his cabinet, as well as the good people of Adamawa State, at home and in the Diaspora, the unfolding of more dividends of good governance.”
