Under the umbrella of Taraba State Women in Action, they expressed their position during an unscheduled visit to the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Hon. Merry Sijen, at her office in Jalingo on Tuesday.

Mrs. Titi Adamu, the State Coordinator, stated that the visit aimed to express their appreciation to Governor Kefas for including women in governance and to reassure him of their unwavering support, as well as to urge him to do more.

She described the appointment of seven women as Commissioners by the present administration as unprecedented in the history of the state.

She expressed optimism that the governor would increase the number of women in the appointment of Advisers and commended him for his developmental projects, including the free education scheme under the “Moving Forward Agenda.”

Mrs. Titi Adamu also stated that the women were a few out of many selected from the various local government areas of the State who visited the Commissioner, Hon. Merry Sijen, to inform her of their readiness to partner with the ministry to achieve Governor Kefas’s Moving Forward Agenda.
