Hon. Bukola Olopade, Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), has been hailed as a deserving winner of the Sports Administrator of the Year award at the New Telegraph Awards.
Igoche Mark, Initiator of the Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship, praised Olopade’s achievement, saying, “This recognition is well-deserved, sir. Your tireless efforts to transform Nigerian sports, foster inclusivity, and drive excellence have not gone unnoticed.”

The NSC DG has been recognized for his transformative leadership and contributions to sports development in Nigeria, including his work as a former Commissioner for Sports in Ogun State and President of the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation.
