In a bid to promote general environmental sanitation in the sixteen Local Government Areas of the Taraba state and selected public places in Jalingo Municipality, the National Environmental Sanitation was held today in the state.
The Coordinator of the State, Mr. Ella Aji Williams while flagging off the exercise at the Mayo Dassa Market at Jalingo implored the Corps Members present to help clean up the market and make concerted efforts to sensitize those traders to always maintain sanitation and ensure that they throw their wastes in bins around the market.
Mr. Williams equally visited the Main Motor Park and Nukkai Market in Jalingo, where he encouraged the corps members present to help clean up the motor park and the market respectively.
The exercise provided an opportunity for the Corps Members present, to promote environmental sanitation and the prevention of diseases in public places.
