NUAAE: Anchaver Suspended, New Exco Inaugurated In Abuja

The Nigeria Association of Agricultural and Allied Employees (NUAAE) has inaugurated it’s National Transition Committee in Abuja Monday to propelled the affairs of the Union for the period of six months.

Those inaugurated are; Saadu Bala Gwaram as National President,Aniedi -Abasi Ekpo, Deputy National President,Obafemi Oyenubi, National Treasurer and Alemeru Segun as National Trustee 1.

Others include;Benco Hameed Ademola,VNP Southwest,Amaechi Nwekuru,VNP, Southeast,Dr.Ehindero David Kayode, North central, Yahaya Tanko, Northeast,Okocha Monday Kandene,South-South, Yahaya Mohamed, Northwest,Saudat Abubakar,NWC,Ime Akpadiaha, Auditor 1, Robert N.Robert,PRO,Agba U.Agha, Member,Adamelukin Ebenezer, Member and Comrade Chapi Paul E. is to serve as Acting General Secretary.

A reliable source who attended the inauguration said, the emergence of the new National Transition Committee follows series of prolonged crisis that plunged the union since 2008 with two factions juxtaposed into webs with several litigations and antigrafts investigations premised on the maladministration of the immediate past national president Comrade Simon Anchaver who was suspended indefinitely at the recent concluded NEC of the Union held at Agric House, plot 609, Gwagwalada Teaching Hospital Road, on the 6th January 2024.

The factions at the NEC resolved to work together to foster the growth of the Union amongst commuty of unions in the nation for the overall betterment of members of the Union.

In pursuance to the above according to the source,both factions held their separate NEC meetings where the then erstwhile National President ,Comrade Simon Anchaver who has drained and misruled the union for over 12 years was unanimously Suspended indefinitely.

To that effect, commendations were received from within and outside the union for taking a very bold step in rescuing the association.

The New National Transition Committee President is now Comrade Saadu Bala Gwaram and The Deputy National President, Comrade Aniedi Ekpo among others who will steer the wheel of the Union for Six months and drive the process of a very credible National Delegate Conference NDC, where new national leaders will be elected.
