New Acting MD Unveils Plans To Boost Bauchi Water Infrastructure

The newly appointed Acting Managing Director of the Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Corporation (BSWSC), Hajiya Uwani Dagauda, has pledged innovative strategies to address persistent water supply challenges across the state.

Speaking shortly after assuming office, on Tuesday in Bauchi, Dagauda emphasized that her administration would focus on enhancing efficient water distribution.

She stressed on resolving long-standing infrastructural and operational issues affecting service delivery.

Dagauda stressed that clean and reliable water is essential for public health, economic development,and the overall well-being of citizens.

“Our priority is to confront the pressing challenges hindering water supply and ensure that every community in Bauchi State has access to safe and sustainable services,” she said.

Dagauda has spent years rising through the ranks of the corporation, gaining valuable experience in water resource management and infrastructure development.

She called for strong collaboration among government agencies, development partners, and residents to achieve sustainable water management and equitable service delivery.

Meanwhile, the corporation’s management and staff have pledged their unwavering support for Dagauda’s leadership.

During a congratulatory meeting, directors, managers, and heads of units expressed their readiness to work collaboratively to achieve the corporation’s goals.

Alhaji Aliyu Inuwa, Director of Administration and Human Resources, reaffirmed the commitment of staff to support reforms that will strengthen transparency, efficiency, and service modernisation.

He said the staff are optimistic that Dagauda’s expertise and vision will usher in a new era of improved water supply, driving sustainable resource management and enhanced service delivery across the State.
