The House of Representatives Committee on Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) has expressed satisfaction with the critical infrastructure being provided by the NEDC in Bauchi State.
Usman Zannah, Chairman of the Committee, commended the NEDC for its efforts in addressing the infrastructural deficit in the Northeast region.
Zannah expressed full satisfaction with the projects seen so far and urged the commission to maintain its efforts.
He also called on the federal government to support the NEDC with sufficient funds to expand its outreach.
In his submission,Mohammed Goni Alkali, Managing Director of the NEDC, said the projects were aimed at improving the quality of life for the people in the region.
The committee inspected various projects, including,Ongoing construction of the 53 km Kirfi-Gombe Abba road,Reconstruction of three bridges at Kalajanga, Bara, and Tashan Turmi.
The committee concluded its oversight visit by reviewing other projects executed by the NEDC in the state capital.
