In a proactive move to improve social welfare and disaster response mechanisms in Adamawa State, Barr. Khalifa M. Lawal, the newly appointed Coordinator of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), engaged with key stakeholders across critical ministries and agencies.
Among those he met were Barr. Bello Hamman Diram, Commissioner for Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, Reintegration, and Humanitarian Services (RRR); Dr. Umar Garba Pella, Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development; and Ladan D. Ayuba, Head of Operations at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
During his separate courtesy visits to these offices on Tuesday, Barr. Lawal underscored his commitment to forging strong inter-agency partnerships aimed at accelerating impactful developmental projects within the state.

He reaffirmed his dedication to supporting the core mandates of each institution and shared his vision for enhanced synergy that maximizes collective efforts to deliver tangible benefits to communities.
Discussions centered on harmonizing NEDC’s agenda with the strategic objectives of the RRR Ministry and the education sector, with a focus on scaling up humanitarian outreach and expanding human capital initiatives across the region.

The stakeholders welcomed the coordinator’s engagement, expressing readiness to collaborate closely in addressing pressing social and infrastructural challenges affecting the people of Adamawa State and beyond.
Looking ahead, all parties committed to designing long-term strategies that meet immediate community needs while laying the groundwork for sustained progress in education and humanitarian service delivery throughout Nigeria’s Northeast.
