Professor Musa Adesina Abdu-raheem, National President of the Nigeria Association of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies (NATAIS), has urged the government to equip security personnel to tackle the country’s insecurity issues.
He made this call during the 41st NATAIS annual international conference in Yola, Adamawa State.
The conference, themed “Peace and Security at the National and International Scenes: Arabic and Islamic Studies Perspective,” aims to provide measures for achieving peaceful coexistence.
Professor Abdu-raheem emphasized the significance of the event in Adamawa State, bringing together Islamic experts to address security problems globally.
Professor Muhammad Shafiu Abdullahi, represented Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Abubakar III, commended NATAIS for organizing the conference and reminded them of their crucial role in ensuring national peace and unity.
Chairman of the Occasion, Professor Ibrahim Umar, Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University, thanked NATAIS for the event and emphasized the importance of adhering to the Quran’s teachings for a peaceful society.
Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by Imam Ali Mamman, expressed delight in hosting the two-day conference.
