NACETEM Sensitizes Adamawa Students On Technology Career Choices

The National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) has organized a career path sensitization workshop for secondary school students in Adamawa State.

The National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) has organized a career path sensitization workshop for secondary school students in Adamawa State.

The workshop aimed to encourage students to think entrepreneurially, develop self-motivation, and acquire skills for self-sufficiency.

Seventy students from 14 schools participated in the one-day workshop, which focused on leveraging technology for self-employment.

Four resource persons, including experts from the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja, shared insights on how to turn ideas into fortunes in the knowledge economy.

According to Engr Chinda Amos, NACETEM’s Head of Research in the North East Zonal Office, “Ideas fuel the pace of development… one good idea can change your world drastically.”

The workshop emphasized the importance of innovation, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills in creating job opportunities.

The resource persons urged the students to think creatively, develop clear plans, and be intentional about their goals.

They emphasized the need for practical engineers who can create solutions to problems.

Engr Chinda Amos explained that NACETEM’s capacity building programs aim to address knowledge gaps in the country.

The workshop is part of NACETEM’s efforts to catch students young and teach them about careers in technology.
