Honourable Hamidu Adamu Jingi Dirbishi has declared his intention to contest for the Chairmanship position of Mubi-South local government area of Adamawa State in the forthcoming local government election.
Jingi is presently the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the council.
NULGE officials and Stakeholders of the local government had earlier contributed money and purchased a nomination form for the immediate past Chairman of the local government, Alhaji Jingi Rufai,but he declined the request by asking Hamidu Dirbishi to test his popularity and acceptability being young and agile in the political realm.
On Saturday,12th February 2022, the main road from Mubi entrance (toll-gate) to Mubi-South local government PDP office located opposite Gaya-Annex,Maiha road in the ancient city was filled up with Party supporters,Youth groups, stakeholders and women who trouped to the streets chanting songs “Mubi-South sai Hamidu” Adamawa sai Fintiri”.
Hamidu Adamu Dirbishi who drove through a motorcade along with his mentor, Alhaji Jingi Rufai received a rowsy welcome after being screened successfully by the state Secretariat of PDP.
While declaring his agenda for the people of the local government, Hamidu Adamu Jingi Dirbishi said, the desire was conceived to consolidate on the laudable gains recorded by Alhaji Jingi Rufai,who United the people of Mubi-South through provision of social amenities as well as stabilizing security to the bearest minimum.
He promised “development for all” policy particularly to youth and women considering his younger age.
Prior to his declaration, the Aspirant had renovated the entire PDP office and dropped the sum of one million naira to the party hierarchy as running cost.
He told them that democracy is all about development and not chaos hence the need to eschew politics of bitterness but carrying each other along, irrespective of religious and tribal inclination.
The immediate past Chairman who is also the ALGON Chairman, Alhaji Jingi Rufai told the mammoth crowd that it is high time for young men to spring up as leaders hence the floating of Hamidu Adamu Jingi Dirbishi to fly the ticket in Mubi-South.
He attested to the fact that Hamidu was tested and found reliable, considering his large followership,but quickly reminded the party supporters to demonstrate same to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in 2023.
According to him, Mubi-South local government is known for its loyalty and support and such spirit should be sustained for formidability in subsequent elections.
“Let me tell you that in adamawa,we have only one party, PDP and one Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri,come 2023,we will give him massive votes, Hamidu Adamu Jingi Dirbishi is our son,he would work for the progress of Mubi-South local government area”
The PDP Chairman of Mubi-South local government area, Alhaji Dahiru Sardauna, Youth and women leaders as well as stakeholders all in their separate speeches thanked Alhaji Jingi Rufai for “bringing a good product”.
They all pledged to work for the success of Hamidu Adamu Jingi Dirbishi and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the forthcoming elections.
