Mr. President, The North Needs Your Attention

I am compounded to draw your attention sir, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with utmost humility and respect, first as a fellow Nigerian and a concern northerner who acknowledged the vigor in your status as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and knowing much of the statutory obligations you took by your oath of office to preserved, protect and defend Nigeria’s constitution, that the lingering security challenges in north is craving for your urgent directives for a total overhaul in the ongoing counterinsurgency operations to rescue the millions of lives and properties of the people in the area.

The spate of kidnapping, banditary and the Lakurawa in the northwest, Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in the Northeast as well as the farmers versus herders and avoidable ethno-religious conflicts in the north central have continued to caused so much horror and devastation among the people, claiming thousands of lives with properties worth billions of dollars been destructed. This must not continue, Mr. President.

It sought your urgent intervention and a directive for advanced and innovative approaches to bring end to the current bloodbath in the Northern region which has been your stronghold in the 2023 general elections that brought you to power.

Northern Nigeria deserves better than this from you, Mr. President. I have an impression that your administration is a serious one that comes in to prevent and protect all Nigerians including those unborn. Kindly save the north, Mr. President.
