A cross section of Modire residents in Bole Yolde-pate ward, Yola South L.G.A of Adamawa state have appealed to the state Government to come to their aid, by providing roads, drainages and health facilities among other developmental project to cushion their hardship.
The Chairman Modire Youth Development Association, Aliyu Bukar stated this in an interview with news on Sunday.
Bukar explained that they face a lot of challenges especially during raining season where flood wreck havoc at all times.
He appealed to the state government to come to their aid and ameliorate their hardships.
Also Speaking, the representative of the ward Head (Wakilin Mai-anguwa Modire) Mal. Tanimu Umar Danladi said “as a stakeholder of Modire I am optimistic that Governor Umaru Fintiri will fulfill the promise made to us during the electioneering campaign”
On his part, the Organising Secretary of Modire Youth Development Association, Lawan Yusuf said they face a lot of problems and appealed to the government to come to their aid.
It could be recalled that Governor Fintiri had last year, announced readiness of the government to flag off construction of the Modire road spanning 5.7km with 2 bridges in Yola South Local Government Area.
Modire is a community less than a kilometer to the state capital in Yola South Local Government area with over 20,000 residents, amongst is numerous challenges include poor access to portable water, health care facilities, as well as inaccessible roads that are a nightmare to motorists especially during rainy season.
