MACBAN Charges Members To Champion The Course Of Their Children Educational Pursued

Pastoralists in Bauchi State have been enjoined to give priority to education of their children for them to be productive and have a better life.

The State Chairman Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria MACBAN Kabiru Yusuf Adam Tilde who made the appeal in Toro at the commencement of the tour of 20 local government areas of the state insisted that doing so would reduce the number of out of school children.

” The tour will enable us have first hand information on the needs and challenges of nomads in the whole state.” The Chairman explained.

Kabiru Tilde also said the aim of the local government tour is to get input from members on their challenges for onward presentation to the authorities concerned.

He explained that plans are under way to set up committees on education, security, social welfare, Media and other areas with a view to address key member’s challenges.

“The Association will focus on issues of nomad education and I want to appeal to parents to ensure their children go to school.” Kabiru Tilde noted.

The State MACBAN Chairman also appealed to all members to live in peace with farmers as no meaningful development would be achieved in chaos.

Kabiru Tilde used the forum to commend President Bola Ahmad Tinubu for creating Ministry of Livestock Development aimed at improving economic fortune of the country.

“I want my kinsmen, Nomads to be proactive in adopting new livestock farming techniques to avoid being shortchanged in benefiting from the new ministry’s activities.” The Chairman added.

On his part the National President of the Association Alhaji Baba Othman Ngalzarma represented by the Assistant National Treasurer Alhaji Abdullahi Abubakar charged pastoralists to adopt new livestock faming techniques as demand for land for other purposes is increasing on daily basis.

Alhaji Baba Othman Ngelzarma commended the state chapter of the Association for coming up with the initiative to interact with members to hear from them some of their challenges for prompt action.

He urged members of the Association to always support MACBAN leadership in championing the course of pastoralists and in piloting the affairs of the the Association to succeed.

The Chairman Toro Local government area Pharmacist Abubakar Dembo represented by the Councilor Toro ward, Muhammad Kabir Usman assured readiness to promote socio economic development of the pastoralists and enjoined them to be law abiding at all times for the socio economic development of the area.

“The council has compiled demands of the people in the local government through setting up if Toro development committee to address numerous developmental challenges in the area.” Dembo said.

On his part, the District Head of Toro Alhaji Umar Adamu represented by Sarkin Malaman Toro Alhaji Suleman Toro charged pastoralists and farmers to respect interest of each other for them to leave in peace.

Some of the complains presented at the occasion include issues of cattle routes encroachments, lack of grazing reserves and water ponds as well as trespassing of farmers into cattle routes among others.
