Hon. Abdulrazaq Gidado, a candidate for the Jalingo, Yorro, and Zing Federal Constituency by-election under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Taraba State, has reasserted his commitment to providing employment opportunities for the unemployed youth, subject to being given the mandate to represent the constituency.
During an interview with journalists in Jalingo, Gidado pledged to empower women through skills acquisition schemes if elected as a member representing JYZ.
He said, he had been primed for the election since 2014, when he was the MD of the Tourism Board, and his constituents urged him to contest for the seat of JYZ Federal Constituency in the forthcoming bye-election.
Gidado guaranteed his constituents that he would comply with all federal laws, ensuring that their interests are wholly covered and that they benefit from the federal government in terms of infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and human capital development.
He also promised to collaborate with security agencies both at the federal and state levels to tackle the current insecurity issues plaguing the constituency by providing them with the necessary support to aid their operations.
He assured his constituents that he would not go to the Green Chamber to warm the seat but would introduce bills that would bring developmental projects to his people.
Hon. Abdulrazaq Gidado (JAWAR) called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that the upcoming election is free, fair, and credible, while also urging his opponents to play the game according to the rules, devoid of violence or incitement.
Gidado appealed to the people of Jalingo, Yorro, and Zing to vote for him under the ADC party on February 3rd, 2024, and promised not to disappoint them.
Finally, he urged his supporters to desist from any form of activity that could instigate violence and ensure that they protect their votes by exciting them up to the collation centre.
