The Adamawa Emirate Council has officially approved the conferment of the prestigious traditional title of Marafa Adamawa on Hon. Ibrahim Yahyaji Mijinyawa.
In a letter dated March 7, 2025, and signed by the Acting Secretary of the Emirate Council, Kabiru Bakari Tariya Adamawa, the council conveyed the decision, stating that the title is conferred with immediate effect.
The letter also directed Hon. Mijinyawa to notify the council whenever he is ready for the turbaning ceremony.
While congratulating the recipient, the Emirate Council extended the esteemed regards of His Royal Highness, the Lamido of Adamawa.
The letter was presented to Mijinyawa on Friday by the Madawaki Adamawa, Alh Usman Marafa.
This conferment adds Hon. Ibrahim Yahyaji Mijinyawa to the distinguished list of traditional titleholders in Adamawa, reinforcing his contributions to the emirate.
