Jama’atul Izalatul Bidi’a Wa’iqamatussunnah (JIBWIS) Numan and Demsa Local Government Areas of Adamawa State, has extended support to 409 orphans through its annual orphanage program.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Orphanage Committee, Alhaji Lawan Adamu, revealed that this year’s beneficiaries included 174 male orphans, 224 female orphans, and 11 vulnerable individuals. He explained that food supplies, including rice, as well as clothing, were distributed according to the committee’s established selection process.
Lawan emphasized the committee’s progress compared to previous years, attributing the improvements to increased public support and the relentless dedication of the JIBWIS orphanage committee.
Chairmen of JIBWIS Numan and Demsa, Alhaji Shuaibu Inuwa Shelleng and Alhaji Hammadu Barau, applauded the generosity of the public, acknowledging its vital role in the program’s success. They expressed optimism about expanding assistance to more vulnerable individuals in the region.
Special guest Sheikh Sabiu Rafin Dadi, who is conducting this year’s Ramadan Tafsir in Numan and Demsa, commended the committee for its efforts in identifying and supporting those in need. He affirmed that their dedication would be rewarded by Allah and encouraged individuals to explore small home-based businesses as a means of sustaining orphans’ basic needs.
