HWI Trains People On Establishment Of CSA-NET in Adamawa, Taraba

The Hopeful Women Initiative (HWI), a non-governmental organization has trained people on the establishment of a group, Civil Society Alliance Network for Women Advocacy (CSA-NET) in Adamawa and Taraba states. 

The 2-day workshop organised on 12th and 13th, March, 2024 was held at Modibbo Adama University Commercial Guest House, in Yola, Adamawa state.

40 participants (women and men) including Persons Living with Disability (PLWD) across the four (4) targeted LGAs of Mubi North, Mubi South, Jalingo and Gassol were trained. 

The aim of the programme was to strengthen the capacity of organisations and individuals working on women’s issues through networking, training and resources sharing.

According to HWI, “the training promotes and protect the rights of women by organizing advocacy campaigns at the local, national and international levels.

“To foster collaboration and partnerships among diverse stakeholders to advance women’s empowerment and gender equality.To provide platforms for women to engage in decision -making processes at all levels and ensure their voices are heard and respected.

“To raise awareness about women’s issues in society and lobby for policy changes that will positively impact women’s lives. To monitor implementation of gender equality and women’s rights policies and programs and hold government accountable.”
