How Adamawa CAN Chairman Handed Over Leadership

The state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria Adamawa State chapter, Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza, has handed over the leadership of CAN to the caretaker committee chairman after completing his remarkable six-year tenure with a standing ovation from those whose lives he has touched.

The handover ceremony took place at the CAN Secretariat Jimeta.

Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza handed over the leadership of the association to Reverend Gambo Bupwatda of the TEKAN ECWA block as caretaker chairman pending the time the national body gave the date for the election. 

Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza explained that upon his election as chairman of the association, the association did not have an account bank but now the association has three bank accounts.

He announced that they are officially handing over three million one hundred and eighty-eight thousand six hundred and four vehicles to the caretaker committees of the state leadership of the association. 

During his time in office, Bishop Mamza has left an indelible mark on the community, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, leadership, and unwavering faith. 

One of Bishop Mamza’s most enduring legacies is his commitment to promoting peace and unity among the diverse religious and ethnic groups in Adamawa State.

He has worked tirelessly to foster dialogue and understanding, bringing together leaders from different faiths to promote mutual respect and cooperation and his efforts have helped to reduce tensions and build bridges across religious divides, making the state a more harmonious and inclusive place for all its residents.

In addition to his work in promoting interfaith dialogue, Bishop Mamza has also been a strong advocate for social justice and the empowerment of marginalized communities. 

He has been vocal in speaking out against injustice and discrimination, using his platform to amplify the voices of the voiceless and advocate for positive change.

Responding to the incoming caretaker committee chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria Adamawa chapter Reverend, Gambo Bupwatda of the TEKAN ECWA block thanked everyone for the confidence reposed on them.

He reiterates their commitment to restoring peace and stability to prevail in CAN and calls for unity of purpose among diverse denominations in the state.
