Hon. Balasa Swears In Vice, Newly Elected Councillors In Bali LG Council

The Chairman of the Bali Local Government Council, Hon. Habila Bala Balasa, has urged his Councillors to rise above partisan considerations and work collectively to advance development, improve service delivery, and deepen democratic governance in the area.

Hon. Bala made the call on Tuesday at the swearing-in ceremony of his Vice and the newly elected Councillors of the council, marking the commencement of their tenure.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Habila Bala Balasa congratulated his Vice and the councillors, calling on them to uphold discipline, unity, and people-oriented leadership. 

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance, stressing that teamwork between the executive and legislative arms would determine the success of the council.

The councillors inaugurated include Hon. Ibrahim Sa’ad Vice Chairman of the Bali local government council, Hon. Inusa Sanki of Ganglari Ward, who emerged as Leader of the Legislative Council; Hon. Daniel Ayuba of Suntai Ward, Deputy Leader; Hon. Aliyu Umar of Gangtiba Ward, and Hon. Nuhu Muhammad Chindo of Maihula Ward.

Others are Hon. Haruna Adamu of Kaigama Ward; Hon. Muhammad Yakubu and Hon. Halilu Bakari of Gangmata Ward; Hon. Faiza Isa of Bali II Ward; Hon. Hussaini Isma’ila of Takalafiya Ward; and Hon. Kabiru Isa of Kussum Ward.

In their separate remarks, the newly sworn-in Vice Chairman and councillors pledged loyalty to the council leadership and promised to support policies and programs aimed at providing dividends of democracy to the people.
