Ustaz Bashir Hamman Adama, an Islamic scholar based in Taraba State, recently delivered a cautionary message to the Muslim Ummah.
During his Friday sermon at the Muslim Council Masjid in Jalingo, he warned against engaging in acts such as homosexuality, adultery, and drinking beer.
Citing several verses from the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Hamman Adama emphasized that individuals who commit sins and fail to repent will face punishment from Allah.
The Islamic cleric identified several other behaviors, including lies, deception, envy, cheating, and dishonesty, as contributing to the present hardship being experienced in the country.
He urged members of the Muslim community to refrain from such acts of evil, seek forgiveness from Allah, and prioritize obedience to the Almighty.
Hamman Adama cautioned that those who choose to follow the directives of wealthy individuals and politicians over those of Allah do so at their peril.
In addition, Ustaz Hamman Adama called on the Muslim Ummah to prioritize the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet, Muhammad (SAW).
He emphasized the importance of following these teachings to be rewarded with Aljannatul Firdausi on the Day of Judgment.
The cleric also reminded Muslims of the need for self-reflection and continued good deeds, especially in the aftermath of Ramadan.
Hamman Adama attributed the difficulties faced by many individuals to a lack of trust in Allah and His fear.
He advised trust in Allah as the ultimate provider and encouraged everyone, regardless of wealth or status, to help others in need.
According to him, this could be through small acts of kindness or by donating to the mosque for the sake of Allah.
In conclusion, Ustaz Bashir Hamman Adama’s message is a timely reminder of the importance of living a virtuous life and adhering to the teachings of Islam.
His counsel is an important call to action that emphasizes the need to prioritize obedience to Allah and the benefits that come with following His directives.
