On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the Adamawa State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Ibrahim Mijinyawa, received in audience the leadership of the Yayaji Awareness Foundation, led by its Director General, Alhaji Musa Shawai, during a courtesy visit to his office at the Adamawa State Secretariat Complex.
The meeting featured engaging discussions on issues affecting the socio-political and developmental landscape of the state, with both parties reaffirming their shared commitment to the growth and unity of Adamawa.
In his remarks, Hon. Mijinyawa expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the foundation for the visit and commended their grassroots mobilization efforts in fostering awareness and civic responsibility among citizens.
He assured the delegation of his ministry’s willingness to partner with the foundation and other community-based groups for meaningful development at the local government level.
The Commissioner also used the occasion to urge the Yayaji Awareness Foundation and similar organizations to continue supporting the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, whose developmental strides, he said, are transforming the state across sectors.
“We thank you for your commitment to the progress of Adamawa State. I urge you to remain steadfast in supporting His Excellency Governor Fintiri’s people-centered agenda. Together, we can achieve more for our communities,” Hon. Mijinyawa stated.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director General of Yayaji Awareness Foundation, Alhaji Musa Shawai, thanked the Commissioner for the warm reception and assured him of the foundation’s continued partnership in promoting good governance and civic enlightenment across the state.
The visit concluded with a renewed commitment to collaboration between the Ministry for Local Government Affairs and grassroots advocacy groups to advance the wellbeing of citizens across Adamawa State.
