Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has received the team from Origin Tech Group led by its Executive Chairman, Prince Samuel Joseph Samuel, alongside the top management of Stanbic IBTC Bank Headquarters led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Wole Adeniyi.

This was revealed in a statement signed and issued to journalists by Zanau Hassan Maikasuwa, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture and Food Security.

The visit was to deepen discussions based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) earlier signed on October 5, 2025, in Lagos, between the Taraba State Government and Origin Tech Group, with Stanbic IBTC Bank as the financial partner.

In his remarks, Governor Kefas reaffirmed his commitment to the Taraba Accelerated Agriculture and Rural Development Scheme (TAARDS), which he recently approved to drive massive food production, create jobs, and open up rural communities through extensive road construction and mechanised farming.

He noted that the partnership with Origin Tech Group and Stanbic IBTC Bank aligns perfectly with his vision to transform the agricultural sector, modernise farming systems, and expand opportunities for farmers across all the local government areas of the state.

During the meeting, the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Bank, Mr Wole Adeniyi, announced the Bank’s commitment to adopt a school within the state capital, which will be renovated and equipped to standard.

In the same vein, Prince Samuel Joseph Samuel, Chairman of Origin Tech Group, pledged to partner with the Bank on the Adopt-A-School Project in Taraba, showing a strong private-sector commitment to supporting education and community development in the state.

The session ended with renewed assurances from both partners to move swiftly on the implementation of the MoU and to deliver on the objectives of the Taraba Accelerated Agriculture and Rural Development Scheme.
