The appointment of Professor Haruna Dantoro Dlakwa as the acting Vice Chancellor of Borno State University, Maiduguri, has been approved by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.
This announcement was made through a statement issued by the Secretary to Borno State Government, Hon. Bukar Tijani, on Wednesday in Maiduguri.
The statement indicated that the university’s governing council recommended Professor Dlakwa’s appointment during its 10th meeting held on 15 April 2024.
Before his current appointment, Professor Dlakwa served as the deputy vice-chancellor of academic services at Borno State University.
Governor Zulum extended his warm congratulations to Professor Haruna Dantoro Dlakwa and expects him to discharge his duties with utmost diligence until a substantive Vice-Chancellor is appointed for the University.
