Gov Kefas Tasks Corps Members On Food Production, Security

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, has tasked all corps members serving in the state to join hands with relevant stakeholders in the Agricultural Sector of the state economy to produce more foods and preserve same in a bid to promote the well-being and livelihood of the people of the state.

Dr. Kefas who was represented by the Hon. Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Amb. Joseph Joshua disclosed this when he presided over the opening ceremony of the orientation course for the 2024 Batch C Stream 11 Orientation Course for Corps Members deployed to the state.

He restated the fact that the scheme has played a pivotal role in the promotion and sustainability of National Unity and Integration, urging members to key in, research, and find ways to contribute their quota in this respect.

The Governor also commended the management of the scheme for working as a team, stating that this move would invariably guarantee success at the end of the orientation course.

Dr. Kefas reaffirmed the readiness of his government to always support and assist the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme in achieving its targeted goals and objectives of the scheme at all times in the state.

The representative of the Chief Judge of the state, Hon. Justice John D. Yakubu administered the National Pledge and Oath of Allegiance to the 2024 Batch C Stream 11 corps members during the event.
