Gov Kefas Issues An Executive Order To Upset Outstanding Entitlements To Pensioners

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has issued an Executive Order to ensure the immediate commencement and completion of all outstanding pensions, gratuities, and related entitlements for all verified pensioners in the state.

In a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Yusuf Sanda and made available to newsmen, it was said the action reflects the Governor’s compassion and commitment to the welfare of senior citizens who have served the state diligently.

The governor explained that a special outreach team will be deployed to all Local Government Areas, wards, and villages to locate and document pensioners who are alive but incapacitated, ensuring that their entitlements are paid without any difficulties.

Additionally, the Ministry of Finance has been instructed to submit a weekly compliance report to the governor’s office, noting that no administrative obstacles will be tolerated in this process.

The government urged all pensioners to remain calm and assured them that the payment process is being prioritised and handled with urgency.

“Taraba State must honour those who have dedicated their lives to public service. Their dignity is non-negotiable, and attending to their welfare is our moral duty,” he stated.
