Governor Agbu Kefas has reiterated the commitment of his administration towards opening doors of opportunities for young people to develop their potentials.
The Governor disclosed this when he received a son of the state and a two times badminton African champion, Jinkam Bulus Ephraimu at the Exco Chamber TY Danjuma House Jalingo.
Agbu Kefas said Jinkam Bulus Ephraimu has distinguished himself in the field of badminton and urged the young people in the state to remain focus saying the state has rich human and natural resources.
The Governor announced the approval of ten Million naira and a Hilux to the player while his Coach went home with 5 Million naira.
The Two times Badminton African champion, Jinkam Bulus Ephraimu while presenting awards and medals he has won to the Governor, thanked Dr. Kefas for sponsoring him to Egypt to attend a coaching course on Badminton and sport administration which qualified him as World badminton coach.
Jinkam Bulus Ephraimu expressed readiness to move round 16 local government areas of the state to hunt for talent.
The Permanent Secretary of the state ministry of sport, Mrs. Indo Makson said the Coaching course undertaken by Jinkam in Egypt is among the best thing that has happened to sport sector in the state.
At the occasion, the former Governor of Taraba state Jolly Nyame also got recognition by the badminton African champion for the role he played in his career.
