Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State swears into office, the newly appointed chairman and members of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC).
The event which held in the Council Chamber Government House, Yola Friday, followed the confirmation of the appointees by members of the State House of Assembly.
The appointees are Mohammed Umar Jabu as Chairman while Zidon Love, Emmanuel Anuhu Abba, Gidado Abdussalam, Mark Balanso, Suleiman Yahaya Vokna, and Mohammed Tuki will serve as members.
In his remarks, Governor Umaru Fintiri while congratulating the appointees said their appointment was based on their integrity and impeccable character as well as experience.
He therefore tasked them to discharge their new assignment with utmost dedication and fairness, and conduct the local government councils election as soon as possible.
The Governor reassured his readiness to give the appointees all the necessary support to enable them conduct their duties effectively so that the state will have a credible council elections that the citizens will be proud of.
In a vote thanks, the New Chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission, Mohammed Umar Jabu thanks Governor Fintiri for finding them worthy and assured that they will bring their experience to bear and hit the ground running.
The oath of office and allegiance were administered on the chairman and members of the state electoral commission by the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi.
